Hey Streetball, lemme guess, you have CoD in one version (language) and CoD:UO in a different language??? Happened to me too, English CoD and German UO, get the same damned error....oh well, went out and bought CoD again since it goes for cheap nowadays, and problem solved.

Laugh all ya want dude, did ya stop to think I live in germany??? LOL See, some of these game companies suck big time when it comes to distribution, and back when the original CoD came out I could only get it in english...hell, it took several months before the german localized version came out....so now, well, I have CoD in english and german, and UO in german...but hey, it works, and since I can understand german perfectly, it makes no difference to me...well, except it is weird when playing the american missions and having them speak german......especially the scene where you are to interrogate a german soldier, that was like, yeah, okay, obviously we can understand him, he is speaking the same language as the americans are in the game, so like, duh! LOL

But....I can understand what ur saying about playing the game...Yanks interrogating Germans in German then making out they they cant understand..thats sort of funny really...very funny actually!! haha :nodding:

No, see, you missed the point - When the FIRST CoD came out I could only get it in ENGLISH, months later it was available in german, but THIS TIME I could only get CoD:UO in german, (unless I wanted to pay my ass off for an english import version) and not knowing from the get-go that the german version won't work with the english version was a bit disturbing to me, but hey, I got it working now so who cares, right? BTW, a buddy of mine says you only need to change an entry in some ini file in the game, and then it will work with any language/ with any language, which brought me to the thought that despite Streetball having the english version of both, he might have his computer set to some different country code during the installation of CoD, and now when he adds UO in it sets it to a different country code in this ini file in the game.....but I guess the point is moot now since he took the game back anyways.
