Thank you for taking the time to look at my post ((and hopefully help me out...;) )). I own a just-for-fun clan called VDWB and I am looking to create my own server. I know how to set up the server using the Call of Duty 'Start a Server' option, but I don't know how to put in mods that will play on everyone's computer without them having to download the mod individually. I used to play on a server called A[74] Webster's Army and they had a Band of Brothers sound mod and a swat skin mod on there. Regardless of whether you had downloaded the mod, it worked on any computer. That is what I need to be able to do! If anyone can help me, I would be very, very grateful!

In case the mods I'm running matters, I am currently running:

SWAT skins Randy's Band of Brother's Sound Mod Toutes Les Armes (which makes every weapon in the game available to any team) Scorpio's Smoke Grenades ...and a couple of custom maps...

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

I think what you mean is a Server-Side mod - You get mortors etc on Omaha etc which no-one has to download because it is server side.

Below is a suggested way but there are many others.

I think if you want something like that you should find an old computer, use your internet connection on it (network the connection to the PC you use using a Cross-Over R-45 Ethernet Cable) and run the server on it. It makes for a lot better ping times. As for the mods, try installing them on the server machine and selecting the mods from the Make Server screen.

Good Luck

Thanks for the response....but I have a question for you...How do you select a mod from the Start New Server screen? do you have to open up the console window and type something? To sum up wut u said...basically i have to use server side mods?

Thanks again for your excellent advice! VDWB_White_Chocolate

you have to install the mods on the server itself, not when you start it.
