Hi, Long time since i visited but i get a problem i cannot seem to start a cod server on linux redhat 9 os with dual xeon 1gb ram when i execute the command ./cod_lnxded and than the menu comes type map mp_harbor it comes out with OUT OF MEMORY ERROR and server closes down. look like a sprintf buffer problem. COD only has a 22k buffer. If it isn't using properly, it will give you an error similar to the one your having. I would hazard a guess and say its prolly your Linux 1.5 patch thats causing it. Have you tried dl another copy and upgrading with that? btw the error your getting - "Can't find map maps/mp/mp_caretan.bsp" is due to the fact that you spelt carentan incorrectly.

I thought I had answered that - get another copy of the Linux 1.5 patch. x x I'm not entirely sure with it is a sprintf buffer check error, but it looks like it is. Also, I'm not entirely sure whether it is the Linux patch, but Linux is notorious for throwing up odd errors with CoD and this seems to be because it insists in running the game in debug mode. Any string which is not right will crash it. Having said that, it may be the map load error. Correct it and see if it runs. Failing that, try my first suggestion - another Linux patch.

ok sir i download another patch that patch was from fileshack got any other download link and do u know the command to download dircetly to linux box via shell itself. Thanks

And corrected the map this still same error
