This never used to happen to me. Everytime i join a game and pick a team my game crashes. But for some reason it doesn't freeze if i join spectator. Also single player crashes after like a minute. Please help me out with this problem because it is driving me insane :mad:

Oh and the patch i got is 1.4. Also every time i reinstall the game and the patch it nwill work the first time i open up cod, but then everytime after it crashes.

When you uninstalled CoD, did you remove your complete CoD directory afterwards? Just uninstalling leaves user added files left over in that directory. Could be that one of them is the cause.

Btw, did you install the latest videodrivers for you videocard? If you have an ati card, you should get the 4.6 driver from www.ati.com and if you have an nvidia you should make sure you have version 56.72 installed. Just visit www.nvidia.com.

I had the same problem with one of the patches! this is what you should do: go to the folder X:/programFiles/CallofDuty and look for a file which is called servercache.DAT just rename that file and it should work.. for me it did:) but maybe you have a different problem...

Wait i fixed it. Whoever is having this same problem goto download.com and get norton antivirus 2004. You don't even have to pay for it. You could just use it for 15 days and thats it. But when u get it all installed and everything you do a full computer scan, this usually will take 1-2 hours, but after you do it you will have no more problems. I was amazed because it detected 512 viruses and adaware and deleted pretty much all of it.
