I tried to reinstall CoD in preparation for buying the expansion pack. However, when I start the game up, the menu icons cannot be seen. I when I mouse over where they should be I hear the clicking sound and can access them but cannot see them. I tried reinstalling several times, tried with patch and without, deleted the entire COD folder. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Question I have corrupted text or I can't click on certain options in the main menu Answer Make sure that you meet the minimum system requirements.

All background applications must be shutdown prior to running the game.

Make sure you have the latest video and sound card drivers from the manufacturers' websites.

Uninstall the game, delete the game folder, and then reinstall the game and the expansion pack. Make sure that you do not install any third party maps/mods/skins of any type.

Have a look on the cd's setup/data folder and copy the files over to the Main folder for Call of Duty from COD cd's UO is UO folder from the UO cd's but only the pak files but if you copy the files over from the CoD cd's to the CoD main folder and you have 1.4 installed, you'll need to reinstall 1.4 back in. I'd suggest installing 1.4 from the UO cd. But before you do this, try loading up either cod or UO that your having problems with and then bring the console down with the ~ key and look for some errors. The post them here :naughty:

Gonna try this last one because I still have no menus even with the above steps.

Couple questions. CoD worked fine for me on this very same computer a few months ago.

The only things that have changed are: Im now running SP2 and I updated to direct x9.0c I believe its called.

Anyone run CoD with the latest direct x drivers? I dont wanna go back to 9.0b just for this one game.

I've got 9.0c and CoD works fine. Have you configurated your windows firewall to not block some things from CoD?
