I would have thought it was graphics driver issue. Look at this:
Make sure you got the latest drivers installed. Download them from:
Ok thanks, im downloading the driver now..ill let you know the outcome :)
thats a graphics corruption, sounds like you need to copy your pak3 files over from your cd's the pak3 files are located on the cd's in the following folders: setup/data now if you get a error when you copy them try the cd's in another cdrom/dvdrom drive. If you still get an error it maybe because the cd maybe scratched. Copy the files form that folder above to the folder: c:\program files\call of duty\main this should fix the problem.
Whoa the supports piling in now, ill try Tallys idea, if not, ill do that..thanks
Ok done tallys idea didnt work, Whats the differance between the Driver Tally sent me and the ones from www.nvidia.com?...trying Highroyds idea now, If i can, sounds complicated
lol not complicated Just put your cd in the drive and then go through Windows Explorer and click the + sign at the sign of call of duty cd and then browse to the SETUP\DATA folder and select the pak3 files and copy them, once this is done go to the call of duty folder thats on your hard drive ie: if you've got windows then its: My computer - C local drive - Program files - call of duty - Main <--- this folder copy them here. But you need to make sure that the files go in the folder above, if done right you'll get a overwrite these files? select yes. Theres different pak3 files on both cd's copy them all. localized_english_pak0.pk3 localized_english_pak1.pk3 pak0.pk3 pak1.pk3 pak2.pk3 pak3.pk3 pak4.pk3 pak5.pk3 pak6.pk3
Then do the following: Download and install v1.4 patch http://download.activision.com/callofduty/CoD_1.4_Patch.exe But just make sure you dont have an read error message when copying the files over.
I did what Highroyds said, On the first disc Pak5.pk3 didnt copy an error popped up cant remember what it said now, but it sounds like thats the problem, Agree? I'll use my brothers CoD to install then put my CD-Key in, Could i do that?
not sure but if your getting a read problem with your cd and your going to try and use your brothers copy, instead of installing why not just try copying the pak files over, saves installing.
I'v installed my brothers version, its now working, but im getting -60 FPS...iv tryed typing in /com_maxfps 125...doesnt help...my bro gets 125 FPS and he plays on a crapper PC..so any ideas?
