i just watched that jump video, and i noticed that before ppl jump, they were always looking down, and then they jumped.. why do they do that?

To watch their feet. this gets you closer to the edge of where your going to jump. You can see where your feet are in relation to the edge.

yes but there also looking down as they jump,, it seems to give them like a super jump or somthing

It's probably just because you can actually see the jump itself. It looks higher than you would think.

It does give a boost to the jump. It's called strife jumping, and you kind of jump sidewards. The whole thing about strife jumping is that it uses exploits in the quake engine to be able to do jumps which you shouldn't really be able to do. Some agree with it, some don't.
