I had COD installed on my C drive but after constant crashing I uninstalled it and re-installed to other hard disk the 'F' drive. I now get this error message and cannot uninstall the game properly. I have tried system restore but it does not make any difference: COD MP 1.4 build win-x86 Apr 13 2004 ----- FS_Startup ----- Current language: english Current search path: C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\___CoDaM_PowerServer__.pk3 (8 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\___CoDaM_HamGoodies_for_CoD1.4__.pk3 (32 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\___CoDaM_for_CoD1.4__.pk3 (48 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\Z_Nuenen.pk3 (9 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\zzzpamv104c.pk3 (21 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\PRM_Realism_Ver_3.6.pk3 (68 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1/main File Handles: ---------------------- 186 files in pk3 files ERROR: No languages available because no localized assets were found ERROR: No languages available because no localized assets were found ----- CL_Shutdown ----- ----------------------- Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok Couldn't load default_mp.cfg. If you runs CoD, and recieve this message "Couldn't load default cfg", this indicates the program can not find the "/main" directory that is essential to its proper function. This error commonly occurs when you install the game with no directory specified. For example, if you choose to install to a hard drive or partition other than C: drive ( that is D, E, etc), but fail to specify a folder. The game will install everything to the root of the hard drive and the game will not launch. This should help you, this is from the CoD readme txt.

Create a new folder on the "F" DRIVE and call it "Programme files" Re-install COD into that folder. Then if you want you can search the "F" drive for the old cod files and delete them. I think that should work.
