Just before you use a dual core processor- I have heard many complaints about CoD, UO and CoD2 not running well or not running at all on dual core processors. The most common fix for this problem is to disable one of the cores while playing. Just thought you should know this.
You can still run CoD and UO with a dual core processor, but you have to set the processor to run in "affinity" mode, this goes for both single and multiplayer. All the rest of the upgrades you mentioned with run CoD and UO fine.
Yeah, as Angel_Eyes says.
But, please, next time - only post the question in 1 forum, and dont ask about over clocking stuff here, as we dont allow support for it.
Thanks to everyone for there help.:) Hi "TGBU)Angel_Eyes" what do you mean "to run in "affinity" mode"??? Hi "tally" "over clocking stuff here" i just want to know if i can overclock the core 2 chip will it still run for the game? OK thank you.
What that means is, you"ll have to goto your processors properties, in there, you will have the check affinity. CoD and UO weren't developed to run on dual core chips. Affinity mode is using one of the cores instead of both. You will make it a single core chip by doing that.
