Greetings all, I am having an issue in being able to play on an Internet server with my brother. Here is the setup: We are both connected to the same router. (I am guessing this is the root of the problem) We do have different copies of the game with our own CD keys. When the other person tries to join the server the person already in lags out and the other gets a "Server disconnected" message. Any ideas how to fix said problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. It pisses me off. I tohught punkbuster only kicked you for having same cd key. And i also thought the router assigns different addresses to each computer. There shouldn't be any problems. This just pisses me of.

It is indeed a poorly configured network setup. Server disconnections happen because the IP assignment is incorrect for muliple client IPs. And PB will kick for 2 or more identical IPs as well as dup GUIDs.

Go here:

There is a ton of helpful tutorials there on setting up a network properly so that more than one person can play on the same connection/router.

Thanks, I will try to sift through the tutorials later and see if I can get something to work. I basically just did a plug and play on the router and didn't take much time to set anything up. I will report back if I find something that works.
