The file that is missing (or corrupt) - configure.csv - is the file that configures your Open GL drivers. This is the main graphics file, and without it your stuffed m8.

Reinstall the game. Make surte the original CDs are clean and free from scrathces. Also, the laser heads on your ROM drive(s).

Then update before or after the re-install.

whats the point of updating before a reinstall? If you read my post, there is a critical file missing. Would be TOTALLY POINTLESS to update EVEN IF the dude wasn't going to reinstall!!!
