I can load up and play the game fine, however 9 times out of 10 when the server loads a new map the game crashes and I get an error telling me I have to close it. If I start up the game again I can play fine again, until the map changes again. In the error report it mentions "ModName: ialmgicd.dll", "Version: 6.14.10.4020" and "Offset 00084938". I've looked this up on the net and it's a file for "OpenGL(R) Driver for Intel(R) Graphics Accelerator" but there doesn't seem to be any help other than a free scan that doesn't actually fix the problem. Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem or do I have to download a new file?

Hi Irish, didnt know youre into CoD as well. :) But to come to support, it would be helpful if you could give us information about the version you are playing. Maybe the patch can fix this problem.

I would reinstall both COD and UO. remember to deleted the COd folder that gets left behind after running the uninstall program.

clearly a graphics driver issue then.

what card do you have?

Use either the NVidia or ATi uninstall tool to remove your graphics driver and reinstall it.

If its an onboard Intel chipset job, just uninstall from the Hardware Manager. Make sure you have your original systems disc to hand before you do.

Hmm, I don't really know what I'm doing so I'll wait until my parents get back from Ireland before removing hardware from their PC, just in case. I'll let you know in a few days.

no - not the hardware. just the driver: software.

Hello again. Well I went to remove the PC's graphics driver (its a Intel one) via;

Add/remove programs > Intel(R) Extreme Graphics Driver > Remove

There was no uninstall option, it just got rid of it then said had to restart PC, did that and all the graphics were shoddy upon restart, low pixes and bit color. Whacked in the "Drivers and Utilties" CD that came with the PC, little message came up about new hardware and said search for updates or something, clicked ok and it wrote some files in system32 folder. Another restart needed... Could adjust it so that the pixes and bit color was back as it was before after the restart. Started up the game and same problem. :uhm:

I forgot to mention earlier that sometimes it loads fine on a new map (but rarely) and other times it loads up, ruins for abouts a minute on the map and then freezes, if that helps at all.
