... to run a mission on a local network that will be me and another player against the PC controled characters? I am talking about Call of Duty united offensive. (or any other first person shooter). Would that not be a whole new fun?
Asfar as I know.... Nope... Could be funny though
Not possible, you can only make a game that has you and the other player on another PC against each other on a network. In otherwords multiplay 1 on 1
 it really is interesting.... Why not have this feature. I am a developer and I can understand that most propably there will be a lot of recalculation on the various algorithms but afterall everything is doable...even if it would require bigger PC's to play on (it would be optional). I went through many discussion forums to see if anybody says anything about this and no one does. Ofcourse it is fun to run against each other but it would a whole more fun to run all together against the " A.I. "of the program... What do you think??
Cooperative games are fun to do, and several game companies offer it in their products. The Tom Clancy games (the ones I've played) all have Co-op Gametypes. I do think it would be a blast in the CoD series, but the storyline wouldn't work so well with 2 or more players.
The only other way to do it is the following:
Make a multiplayer map that has the computer AI characters or bots defending an object ie base assault or search and destroy.
And then make a LAN Multiplayer game on one PC and join to the game with the other PC.
That will give you the game of 2 vers the computer or maps AI.
Lots of people have asked about this. Yes, it's possible. I think a couple people have done it in limited form too. For example, check this out:
