If your talking as a player= it's not possible Ur probably talking about rcon commands; you will need to install this mod which can be found here and type the command for frag grenades you need: scr_bolt_nades -1 scr_semi_nades -1 scr_sniper_nades -1 scr_smg_nades -1 scr_mg_nades -1 scr_pistol_nades -1 scr_misc_nades -1 any questions? add me to xfire= silent425
Silent, do you know how to change the loadout you start with in the sp missions? I want to make a mod where you start with a rifle and pistol of the country you're fighting for at the start of each mission. In many cases it would just be a matter of replacing the machine gun with a pistol. I need to know what files to look in to change the script though, or can it be done with console commands?
i didnt mean the grenades on MP i mean SP i just need more than 4 GRENADES!!!!!!!!
Well it appears the file you need to edit is loadout.gsc found in COD2\main\iw_07.iwd\maps. It has all the initial loadouts for each mission. There are some lines of script with the word ammo in them and a number after, which probably represents the default amount of ammo. You'd have to either know what number to change it to or experiment.
You can always just keep a copy of the loadout.gsc file in case you get it wrong and to refer to what the default settings are. So far I've only swapped weapon types and left the loadout at the default, so I'm not sure how to change the ammo to a specific ammount.
To change the number of nades both in SP and MP, you need to edit the weapons files (located in iw_13.iwd\weapons\sp).
You will need a good weapons editor, one can be found to download here:
Open one of the nade files up and look through the list of settings until you find these settings:
clipOnly maxAmmo startAmmo clipSize
Change them to the amount of nades you want. Make them all match.
the crtical ones are clipOnly and startAmmo, as these determine the amount to actual load to an actor. But the others must match (obviously)
Thanks for that, it might come in handy in my rifle/pistol mod should I need to add pistol ammo, not much of that lying around. Guess I was way off on my speculation but this looks easier to do than I thought it would be as it's more self explanatory on the ammo amount.
I had installed Bionic Nipple's Weapon Editor a while ago after seeing it on your tutorial, but never got around to finding out how to use it. I just installed the COD one, there's no readme and I'm not sure what to do with the SETUP.LST and WeapEdit.CAB. Seems to me since this is just a matter of changing some script in a iwd file it could be done via making a mod with PakScape couldn't it?
BTW, how does one enable the picking up of grenades?
