I wanted to add more bumpmapping to Call of Duty 2 but I don't know how. is there any way to do this? I don't care if I have to edit images with photoshop or go through countless text files, I must have this. VG
Well I figured it out already, so thanks for all the help. VG
If I had seen your post, then I would've said this: :google: ^^ It always works. The only people round here who'd know how to do that are Tally, someone else, maybe Highroyds and someone else probably. I suspect it had something to do with /r_picmip, no? (Maybe not, I have never tried myself) Also, iwnation has a lot of this stuff covered in extensive posts about the features of COD2 the devs were too lazy to cover up - like the subject raised by you.
I'm not talking about a simple config variable change, I'm gonna have to go into every bump or normal map picture file and enhance the bumpmapping that way. I was just wondering if there were any text files that would allow one to increase the bumpmapping effect for skins or textures by simply changing a number or numbers. The only texts that I could find are not supported by notepad. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do it the hard way. Unlike Doom3, the COD2 engine has been setup in a more complex manner. But I'll figure it out anyways. Like Tally or Highroyds, I to am skilled. VG
