I just downloaded the tools for CoD2 and when I go into Radiant and try to load the maps that are in one of the files (not sure which one but has matmata_mp and newvillers I think and two others) it starts loading the files at the bottom of the screen and then it will freeze up for a second and and then come up with a message saying that an error has occured and that Radiant has to shut down. Any body else having this prob or does any body know what the problem is? *The file I'm talking about is called map_source.

I have now encountered another problem. The textures are really dark and once they are put into the map I can't really see them. I think my comp is good enough it, it palys the game well enough but not radiant.

do you have MS .Net framework installed? I have heard this causes a lot of problems if it isnt installed, because Radiant is based on it.

I don't think I have MS .Net framework installed. Where can I get it and what is it. And a little off the subject but how do you make the banners or whatever that you have at the bottom of all your posts tally?

the .Net framework is software which many programs (inc COD2) use more and more these days, as it helps the program tansfer data better over the internet.

As for the 'banner' - its called a 'signiture' strip, or 'sig' for short. I use Photoshop CS to create them. Its not hard, but its also not exactly easy either.

If you want one, just tell me what you want to have in it and I'll make you one.

once you've compiled it you have to create a .gsc file with it go to www.modsonline.com where you can get some good tutorials about what to do...however no matter what i do i get a runtime gsc error whenever i try to load a map it boots me back to desktop and gives me some rubbish about my gsc file being faulty and i know it's not...*sigh* another quality activision peice of software i bet it's my expensive dual core processor giving me problems again! ARGGHH
