How do I get rid of unwanted skin changes in COD2SP??

After several weeks of just playing MP, I fired up the SP and found that I now have fruity camoufalge on the russian tunics and overcoats -- also a new set of weapon sounds and, I believe, recoils, etc. Problem is -- who asked for this cr-p??!! Do files downloaded in MP online activity also alter the SP?? What a pain!! How do I get rid of this cr-p without uninstalling a loat of MP pownloaded maps and such?? Any help appreciated!

it's know that when you have installed a lot of mods this can harm your game installation in some way. did never hear about this possibility but i am sure that it is caused by the many mods that you have installed. most of the times you can't pick up ammo/weapons when you have lots of mods installed, (this was at least the case with cod1). ofcourse don't you have to throw it all away, but i think the best thing for you to do is looking through all the mods that you have and decide which you realy want to keep and what can be deleted/replaced in to another folder. and than try again, should you still have this problem than replace some more. there is no other option as bringing the amount of your mods down.

success, leon

You can just go to My Computer >C: Drive > Program Files > Activision > Call of Duty 2 > Main. Then when in main just delete the mods you don't want. Sometimes when you go on certain MP servers, the mods that are on the server download to your main folder. So like a blood mod n an MP server downloads and then it will appear in SP. Just delete the mod in your main folder.

Yeah -- that's how I got it fixed. BUT -- what a pain in the a-s trying to figure out which one of 100 or so files was actually causing the problem! Took forever.
