I've used the 2.6 mod before and it ran just fine. This time I've installed the v2 fixes, and the Hi-Res pack just like before, and I'm getting this message when I load up a level. "Create2DTexture( german_normandy_uniform_col_nz, 4096,2048, 0,827611204) failed:8876086c =invalid call" No quotes.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I assume you mean Reality 2.6 and fix 2.6 along with the high res pack? I have Reality 2.6 and the fix, but not the high res pack. I was confused as to whether the high res pack was included in the Reailty 2.6 mod or not.

I couldn't find anything specifically stating if the high res pack is just the skins contained in Reality or higher texture details for those skins, so I didn't install it.

If they ARE higher res textures or some sort of enhancements for the skins already contained in Reality, perhaps you need to install the mod, the res pack, and the fix in the right order. In other words maybe the fix fixes some things in the res pack and needs to be installed after it.

BTW, can you tell me exactly what the high res pack does and if there is any system spec requirement mentioned? Maybe your system is having trouble with it.

"Create2DTexture( german_normandy_uniform_col_nz, 4096,2048, 0,827611204) failed:8876086c =invalid call"

This typically means that the image is corrupt. Normally, when people play with skins and dont convert the DDS to IWI properly.

Justincase, here's a lot of info that may or may not help on the CODfiles.com page where the hi res pack can be downloaded. Scroll down to the comments, there's some indicating errors and such one of whom is using a card very similar to mine, the X800.

Since the description of the file seems to indicate it was made by the original authors of the Reality 2.6 skins, Ferran and Rapsodia (whom are very good skin makers), it may very well be that either those having the problems don't have high enough PC spec or that the hi res skin file got corrupted somehow when WiCoPP separated them into two files.

Since I have had no graphic problems whatsoever with the non high res skins in Reality 2.6 and some seem to be running the hi res ones with no problems I tend to think it's lack of adequate PC spec and/or a possible incompatibility issue that WiCoPP speculates about in the last comment on that page.

Come to think of it the comments on that page may have been the reason I decided not to install the hi res pack, along with not wanting the FPS to drop any as I capture video sometimes. If you've not tried Reality 2.6 without the hi res pack it looks pretty good and a lot better than the stock ones even without it.
