Are you trying to make it all bigger or smaller if you are right click on your desktop then properties then go to settings and in the bottom corner is the screen resolution so you can fchange the size of your screen

TO OZZY_14: That won't work for ingame resolution that will work only for desktop resolution! Moreover he wants to change the details also not only the resolution!

TO BATTLECO: I suggest that you get that new card faster and\or change your Windows to windows XP professional SP1 or SP2

If its only happening after updating with the 1.3 patch, it must lie in that. Have you downloaded a different patch from another site?

Or have you been trying to use the same downloaded patch again and again?

Your problem has just become apparent to me - you are using W2k. I tried running COD2 on it when I first got it, and it was crashing all over the place. I have subsequently found out that W2k is not 100% compatable with the MS .Net Framework, which was built for XP and up.

Switch to Win XP Pro (not 'Home' as it is a pile of old bag), and install MS .Net Framework.

(btw- its clearly not the game thats the problem, but your system. Many thousends of people can run the patch and the game quite happily. Also, your card is not brillent. I have 2x CrossFire ATi X1900 cards and they just about handles DX9 without lag. COD2 is very system intensive. More so than many other games. Its was, after all, designed for a machine which has 3 cpus to run it, and 2 SLI graphics cards)
