I don't spend enough time here

I have just recently downloaded the 1.01 patched for cod2, reading that it can fix problems with intel graphics. The game works fine on my normal computer, but i have just got a laptop. 1.4ghz celeron M (1mb level 2 cache) 512mb ram Intel Extreme 2 graphics. When i first tried cod2, i got errors that the graphics cannot run certain shaders and so forth, so i got the patch. This now gives me the error - Error During Initialization : No valid rendering patch found. when i click ok, it comes up with the console. I have read through it, and it is saying that it cant use direct x 9, and then it says cant use direct x 7, and then confirms that it cant use any and has no path to run. My laptop has Direct x 9.0c installed, and i can play cod/coduo fine... Please Help!? Regards, John Clarky (Hunter)

Intel Processors, not graphics.
I HIGHLY recommend you get a proper graphics card rather than the lame Intel "Extreme" (My ass) integrated graphics. I hope this is possible for you.
Trust me, you won't be able to run the game. It's a hard to run game and a laptop like that probably won't achieve 5FPS on low DX7 settings.

The processor speed is too low. 1.4 Ghz is not enough power. Your graphics card is intigrated, and made by Intel... Utilizing dx7, like Mr. Whitlow points out, on low graphics settings, would be a lagfest. My games didn't start to run properly until I installed a 6600GT. Now everything is great. If you can, I'd buy and install the best graphics card your system can handle.
