I have an ATI x700 (128) meg, with a P4 3.2 gHz and 2 gigs of ram. Why is COD2 stuttery, really slow if I select dx9? The system's been bulletproof with COD and CODUO?

DX9 is kind of misleading, in CoD2... it unlocks the most advanced effects, that, unfortunately, old video cards such as the 5200 can not produce. Don't worry, I'm stuck in the same boat. But I'm afraid that until you upgrade to a newer (and expensive) video card, you will have to stay with DX7 mode.
