I recently installed Call of Duty 2 for Windows XP onto my Vista. I did this on my brothers computer and it works fine no problems. I just bought this computer two days ago. It is is the HP Pavilion a6130n. Here are its specs: Windows Vista Home Premium (32 -bit) AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 5000 + 2.60 GHz 3070 MB of RAM400GB Hard Drive Nivida GeForce 8600 GT OC 256MB GDDR3 Thats all I really know if you need me to tell you me let me know what and how to find it. Ok so what happens to me is that once I double click on the Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer Icon it starts to load up normally but then when it switches to full screen it comes back to windows and tell me this error message "cod2mp_s.exe has stopped working". It gives me two options. First is to Check online for a solution and close the program or just Close the program. Here is the extra information it gives to me: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: cod2mp_s.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 4456a34f Fault Module Name: cod2mp_s.exe Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 4456a34f Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0017fb02 OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: f389 Additional Information 2: 9ebfc6340d4140363bb14e252492b773 Additional Information 3: d8c2 Additional Information 4: e28b769fbf1d121734dfc19dfa8eee10 Please help me in anyway you can. Thanks, gtifreak

You try compatibility mode?

If Vista's compatibility mode works the same as XP's compatibility mode does, just right click on the .exe and go to the compatibility tab and set it for XP.

I have the same problem. I did manage to connect today but only once and now it does the same thing "cod2mp_s.exe has stopped working. " Single player works great. Tried it with admin rights, as XP SP2, no anti-virus, no firewall and made sure my drivers were all up to date. Some help would be great. thanks in advance.
