 First of all i have been playing this game for over a month now and it has been working perfectly without any problems I swapped my grafx card twice from a nvidia 5200 geforce fx to a radeon 9550 ATIand it was still working fine, but a week ago when I was playing normally i got a sudden patch of lagg and then started slightly lagging continuously just slight jumps and jumpyness its quite annoying please can someone help:bawl: !!!!! Has anyone else had this problem? Pentium Celeron processor 1.9 ghz 1GB RAM RADEON 9550 ATI 256 mb    :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:
Could be that the gfx card is overheating a bit. Try turning the graphics setting in the game down and turn it to Dx7 mode if you havent aleady. Also, I would check for viruses and make sure its clean of anything that would cause it to act like that.
which card are you currently using? im confused
I have a Radeon 9550 ATI graphics card!! I have the settings all down low and am already running on Dx7 could be the grfx card overheating good suggestion :) It was fine b4 until about 3 weeks ago when it started getting glitchy. when i was attaching the 500w pwr supply for the card i d/c the cpu fan :P it was off for about 2 days until it was slowing up b/t b4 i realised that it was out. Thanx for the reply any other info wud be GR8!:bows:
well that seems the most likely possibility according to the statistics for how it was working before then. The only other real logical explanations would be a need to update a driver, or graphics card incompatibility with the game. But of course it was working fine before then, so it was probably merely overheating. Also if none of that works, perhaps try a virus or spyware scan, though that is extrmely unlikely.
Thanks ill give it a try anti-virus i mean i think you might be right about the grafx card overheatng so if it keeps going on like this after i leave the comp off for a while, i might have to go in search of a new card ! Cheers McgoX
you might not need to get a whole new video card if you don't have that kind of money. Something as simple as another fan in your case may be enough to fix it if overheating is the problem
i can't remember how to check this but i love my gfx cards and i had a similar problem once where my card overheated and damaged some of the pipelines which gave me poor performance...if the problem persists its best to contact ATI and ask them...although good luck getting a response....who is the manufacturer of your card btw (as is sapphire or some other company)?
Im not sure what the manufacturer is although it say's ''ATI RADEON 9550 ''3d connect'' on the box so it could be 3d connect. How could i find it out? p.s. i am behind a router as someone else use's the connection somedays also could that be something to do with the lagging??
well it depends. Try typing /cg_drawfps 1 into the console (press tilde (~) to open the console) Then when you are getting the lag look at the fps which will be in the upper right hand corner of the screen. If the number doesnt get any lower it is due to a connection perhaps router problem. If the number gets lower, then it is because of graphics card or processor or something
