I have and ATI Radeon 9550. I am got it two years ago a couple days after Christmas. I have been running COD 2 on DX7 with the settings on max, but when I switch to DX9 it becomes a little laggy:bawl: . Is there something to do with my graphics card becuase it is old?? Or is there something else? ---CrapshootBob---
nothing you can do about it Im afraid. DX9 will cause lag with a card like that.
A friend said that if I got more RAM it might help, do you think it would. And if so how. (Sorry im kinda a noob)
nope, RAM wouldnt help, as its the limited pixel pipes you have in the card (what generates the images).
When Windows Vista comes out next year, and we all have to move to DX10, your card wont even run a game built for DX10.
Like the rest of us, you will have to upgrade eventually.
Would a Radeon 9800 pro help???
It would but not by much i suggest you get a ATi X800 or nVidia 6800(GT)
remember that you need ithem in AGP
may i suggest that you could get the BFG 7600gs OC 512mb or the palit 6800gs super 512mb they are both agp and under $300AU :D im planning to get one of the two
What kind of computer do you have? If its over 4 years old you might have to buy a whole new computer that has pci express.
