I've tried everything, even looked at another topic about it. I changed my win_voice_mute thing to 0, I've unmuted my mic. There has to be something I'm missing, it's probably something simple I know but I just can't figure it out. Everthing seems to be working, even the icon is showing up and other people can see it, it's just like my mic isn't picking up what I'm saying.

Can someone please help? I really would like to be able to talk in the game again, it worked before but I had to reinstall Cod2 on my new computer and it hasn't worked since.

Please help! Thanks in Advanced!

this is a common problem with a lot of users - for some inexplicable reason, voice chat gets muted.

Activision have no answer to this, even though they dont also admit its a bug. I can only say, you'll have to learn to live with it.

sorry to disappoint

I don't understand why it was working before but not now...oh well. There's a solution, I know there is. It just hasn't been found yet.

I got it working. Turns out, one of the settings in my Sound Volume options had the mic set to the Front Pink Jack and it's really plugged into the back of the PC. So I changed it, now it's working fine.

I knew it always has to be something simple.
