Well i did search the forums and couldn't find a real answer and I just tried re-installing and got the same problem. I tried copying the file and overwriting the current file and I still got the same problem. So if you have an answer plz share.

EDIT:

Well now i have the exact same problem as with my last set of cd-s so I really really doubt that the cds are the problem. I get to disk 5 and it starts installing and it gets to an error and I say to retry and it tells me to insert disk 5. I keep putting disk 5 in and restart my computer and "My Computer" says there is no disk in and the installation keeps asking for it. It did the exact same thing with my old set of disks so I really doubt its a disk problem. I have no idea what to do.

Dude, try it on someone else's computer man. If you get the same problem there, yuo know its thoe darned CDs. If not, probably the lens of your CD drive has a problem (too old...??) try cleaning it or something like that.

Or.. Your putting the cd's in wrong cd drive.

Just open windpws explorer and copy everything to a new folder

I don't think he can copy the files because his drive is not even detecting the CD.

its got to be the ROM drive. Prolly needs a good clean. I think that people forget that it gets dirty, and if it does, it will stop working properly.

Hi i am having the exact same problem, but mine is with the dvd version of the game. I put the disc in and the dvd drive just makes noises, and its not shown on "my computer" , i have tried this on al my other computers and it works fine on them all. i have even bought a new dvd rom drive and stil the same problem.

i managed to install the game by copying onto a dvd-rw (from another computer) to see if that would work, which it did. i installed the game and i can play multiplayer as you dont need the dvd for it. Single player however requires the correct dvd so as i am havin the problem with it.

Mabi you could make a copy of that cd that doesnt install and try and install from the copy, if you only need the 1st cd to play the game then mabi it could work.
