Hi, It's me again and I have tried a new game: Cod2.

OK, here's the issue: I have a friend that wants to play Cod2 with me, but when he creates a new server, I CAN'T SEE IT! And visa verca (or however you spell that). We can't even see other games! I see one server and in the same slot he sees another. XFIRE COULDN'T EVEN CONNECT US! When I tried the "Join Game" button, it went to the server and just sat there with "Awating Connection...1...2...3...4...5...6...7..." FOR ETERNITY! Help???

Another issue: I get his error when I try to join a server:

"The exception unknown software exception (0x00000fd) occurred in the application at location 0X0055f7."

Help again?

OK, I enabled "DMZ" on my router (gaming mode) and now we can see SOME OF the same servers and can join games and play each other, and that pesky error is gone. HOWEVER, he cannot create a server and then I join it and vica versa. Do BOTH routers need to have ports open for this to work??

Thanks.

Making sure the port range is open is always a good idea. Goto PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall and follow the instructions. With the correct ports open you should disable the dmz as that is a security risk to your pc.
