just add the http redirect settings to an existing server config file.

However, these:

set sv_allowedClan1 "" but have no fn idea what for set sv_allowedclan2 "

dont exist. All the right settings for redirect are in the patch readme.

To get redirect working, the thing that normally goes wrong is the web address:

#1 create a folder on your webspace called something like "cod2". Inside this folder create a sub-folder called "main" (or the name of your fs_game folder).

#2 in the server config file, you dont need to put "main" as the game will automatically find the right folders (either 'main' or the fs_game folder). But you put the rest of the address.

So for example, suppose your web address was www.myclan.com. you have created a folder on your webspace called 'cod2', the full web address you put in your server config file would be:

set sv_wwwbaseurl "http://www.myclan.com/cond2"

Thats it. It should now work.

A couple of points about COD2 redirect and custom files:

You can only get a few custom maps working with COD2. This is because your server rotation details is limited to 1240 characters. Exceed that, and the downloads will stall and the server may well crash.

Dont have too many mods or custom maps in your servers folders. There is an issue with the iwd files, in that there is a cap on the sum total of iwd file names.

The server sends this total to each player connecting. This is called the sum string. If the sum string exceeds the built-in total, you will get an error:

"iwd sum total/mismatch"

This is cause by the iwd file names being to too long, or literally too many iwd files. The limit on extra iwd files is about 4.

Try to combine all mods. Also, try to combine custom maps. If you can put them into, say, 2 extra iwd files, this should get round the sum mismatch error.

if you want them just to download from a server (at about 12k lol), then have these settings:

set sv_allowdownloads "1" set sv_wwwdownload "0" set sv_wwwbaseurl "" set sv_wwwdldisconnect "0"
