Hi,

I used to host my own servers with codUO. I hosted it for a few friend so we could play on a password protected server. Now with Cod2 i can't host it anymore. I have a modem/router sweex and windows xp with a windows firewall.

I can not get it to work to get 28960 to open. If i do a portscan with grc.com it still remains closed. Even with DMZ enabled and routed to my local ip 10.0.0.5 and my firewall of, it still stays closed.

What i am doing wrong because i tried everything, uninstalled my norton firewall, upgraded the firmware of my router etc etc. I added some screenshot of my modem configuration. ( i now see that i can't place them :( )My modem has local ip 10.0.0.2, the pc with cod is 10.0.0.5. I have an non changble wan ip adres: 62.59.220.***

If any of you have any ideas how to test in the ports are open (links or programs) and get cod2 to work they are very welcome.

With the ASE i can see my server but only on the local ip. Is there a another way to check if my server is hosted?

Txs for your help

This link will show if you if your server is visible or not. http://stats.callofduty.com/index.php

( problem with ports in non dedicated server )

Only DEDICATED servers will show up on the internet, non-dedicated is a LAN only server.

So correct me if i am wrong:

With COD you have 3 options in the server menu for dedicated (No, Internet, Lan) If i select NO, it wil start a game and it will stated Listenserver.

With CODuo i could invite my friend to join this server with the ~/connect IP:28960. (don't know if the could see me on the internet cod pages??)

If i select Internet, i only hosting a server and can not play myself. If i select LAN, i can host a game with LAN.

So is it posible to host a server with dedicated NO and been seen on the serverstats (link posted by major_day) Or is the only way to enter this server by the use of the ~/connect command.

Txs

Correct. If you start a listen server,it will not be seen on the internet, but ppl can connect if you give them the ip address.
