Finally after many months of blood, sweat & tears, PeZBOT 004p for World at War is finally being released. Firstly, before I say anything else: Please read the readme and installation instructions carefully! This version is a little different from previous versions. Download here: PeZBOT 004p for World at War download - Mod DB
Secondly - this version may have some critical bugs that we have missed. We have not had enough time as we had hoped to thoroughly test this version so please report any bugs on the forum so we can fix them as soon as possible.
Now, let's get to the details: the changelog.
- Changes to code resulting in a huge performance boost with a larger amount of bots. - Rewaypointed most of the maps for better performance. - Added Climbing Waypoints to stock maps / Added Climbing Waypoint type. - Bots now wait for the match to start before moving and they stop when the match ends. - Bots now use Grenades, Bazooka, Molotov, Flamethrower, etc. - Bots now use knife attack when in close range (experimental). - Bots now play Capture the Flag. (Is a bit buggy.) - Bot shooting/targeting replaced with CoD4 functions. - Fixed TWAR bugging out on some maps. - Fixed error when launching the 'Sub Pens' map. - Added Killpoints. - Added Auto-Waypointing. - Added DVAR: svr_pezbots_XPCheat. When set to 1 you will be level 65 and have all weapons unlocked. (default is 0) - Added DVAR: svr_pezbots_weapons. Changes bot weapon loadout from random to nationality based. (normal or authentic - defaults to normal) - Added DVAR: svr_pezbots_grenadepickup. When set to 1 bots will drop grenades or bazooka's for the player to pick up and restock their ammunition. (defaults to 0) - Added DVAR: svr_pezbots_roundCount. Restarts the server after X amount of maps. Workaround for "running out of bots" / Map Rotation should now work. (defaults to 2)
As you see... quite a few changes in 004p. One of the changes that some people may be very pleased about is the performance improvement. Here is a comparison I made earlier - 003p vs 004p:
Map: Dome 19 Bots + 1 Player
003p: Time: 60 seconds Min FPS: 20 Max FPS: 48 Average FPS: 33.63
004p: Time: 60 seconds Min FPS: 67 Max FPS: 91 Average FPS: 85.91
Huge increase in FPS - it is now playable with a larger amount of bots. Please note that performance will vary depending on your PC.
Once again, just to make sure everyone knows: Please read the readme and installation instructions carefully! This version is a little different from previous versions. So - have fun with the mod and please post any bugs you find in the PeZBOT forum.

Hi guys, I can't seem to get the mod to work and I don't know why :(. Is the mod compatible with the 1.7 patch? I fully patched the game, created a folder in the game folder called "Mods", extracted PeZbots into there. I added a couple of extra commands into the shortcut though, would that affect it? Basically it isn't loading up the mod when I double click the shortcut, and when I look in the in-game Mod list there isn't anything there. This is my target path thingie in full :
"E:\Games\WaW\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaWmp.exe" +set fs_game "Mods/PeZBOTWAW" +set sv_botsRandomInput 1 +svr_pezbots 19 +svr_pezbots_skill 0
lol don't call me a noob for setting skill to 0 :P It's just so I can get used to the game XD. Is adding the extra 2 commands messing it up or something? It works for the CoD4 version so I just assumed the same for this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Set skill to 0.5 - the bots are very easy, even if you are just starting out.
I'm guessing you've installed it incorrectly. The mod won't appear in the mod list, so you will need to launch it via the command line as you have been doing.
What operating system are you using?
Copy and paste the directory where you installed the PeZBOT mod files. (eg: C:\Documents and Settings\Gannondorf\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\Mods\PeZBOTWAW)
Hi, I'm on Vista.
my target line is this: "E:\Games\WaW\Call of duty 5 World at war\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaWmp.exe" +set fs_game "Mods/PeZBOTWAW" +set sv_botsRandomInput 1
The location of the PeZBOTWAW folder is: E:\Games\WaW\Call of duty 5 World at war\Call of Duty - World at War\Mods
I have had the mod load correctly once, but then even though the command to spawn in the bots appeared to have worked there were no bots. Now the Mod isn't appearing in the mods list again.
I deleted all the pezbots stuff and then re-extracted the folder into the Mods folder but to no avail. Not really sure what I have done wrong, or what I can do.
You need to install to here: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Activision\CODWaW\mods
And it won't appear in the mod list, so you'll need to use the command line to launch it.
Ahh okay thanks. What's wierd though Is that i did get the mod to appear on the list once where I put it :S Dunno how.
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for all your help Gannon, finally got the bots working. I do have one question though. All the bots have juggernaut, even when they don't have the perk equipped. Is this on purpose? It makes bolt action sniping extremely annoying so I was wondering if there was a way to rectify this? Thanks yet again.
