And with this new All Mapper thread come the new 0.6 Battlecraft list and config files! Großadmiral Dönitz and I have been working on these files for the last week and we finally feel they are ready to be released. The files are not completely finished however and we are still sorting some problems, but we'll make sure to update these files as soon as we are able. Most vehicles are included in this list, but some variants are missing. We will also add those in the next version. We did however stumble on a big problem. The battlecraft list file can only include 512 objects, and because FH has added so much we had to cross the line. But battlecraft does not work properly with such a big list and we have therefore chosen to use 2 seperate lists. One list containing all objects from the original Battlefield1942 and one list containing only the new objects added by the FH team. Großadmiral Dönitz has tested this principle and it works, but you might have some problems getting some objects which are not on the list to be displayed. This is our way of making this problem as less of an inconviniece as possible. How to use these files: -First you'll have to unzip the file and extract the FH.lst and FH.cfg to your main battlecraft directory. (by default: c:/program files/EAgames/battlecraft1942/ ) - Next you start up battlecraft and select new mod. Here you enter the FH.cfg and you should be ready to start making your own FH maps. If you are having trouble using these files, or with anything else regarding mapping for Forgotten Hope, please post your question in this thread and you will be helped.

you couldnt have released at a better time! thank you so much, i have an Fh .6 map deadline for tonight, i was hoping for a miracle and praise the lord it happened, you guiys bailed me out of a big problem. but one more question: can you make the only kits available to spawn as rifles from every country. such as this: axis team spawn weapons Springfield K98 Mosin Nagant Arisaka No4 (same line up for allies for perfect balance) is it possible or is there a complication, because i tried it and when trying to spawn i crashed. can axis have allied weapons, or not? help please, oh and another thing to note i was mapping using Fh .5 config files would this change anything??

I think the "Q: How do I change the weapon kits used in my map?" in the FAQ will answer your question. Just edit your init.con and follow theps mentioned in the FAQ. Just give them the same kit. I think that it schould work, not sure though because i never tride it out myself. What does the log file mention (you can find this log file somewhere in your bf1942 directory, don't know on top of my head though)? But why assign the same kids anyway? If you give both teams the same kind (catogory) of kit (weapons) it will be balanced. basically what im rtying to say is can the axis team use allied weapons. im giving the same kits because im mapping for the BFE-WaW tourny ( fh.battleforeurope.com ) and im making a rifle scrim map, weve done this for awhile late night get a few people on TS at the time go on foy and play only rifles. now someone brought up the idea of making map like foy (small city) for only rifles i headed this up and we decided to let rifles be the only weapon even available. now if someone on the axis side want to use a srping field they are welcome if this works. i hope you get a better picture of what i was saying. ahh yes one more thing: would i need to have this: Rus_1AssualtNagant instead of German_1AssaultNagant ?

I don't think that would work. You could make spawnable kits though. But why not give the Axis their K98 rifles and the Americans Springfields? Although, the assualt kits do have three grenades, total. I'm pretty sure it'll become a fragfest soon, I know that I always shoot the rifle grenade first.

one more thing what would the object templete name be for spawning rifle kits? help please, i have 10 minutes

I just call the object template (it's description, really) for example: "PantherD", I suppose they should be called "GermanAssaultK98" or something. You can copy these names from the templates Donitz posted above.
