I am new to the game and have been fidling with the World Editor and I would like to know how I can turn the campaign d-day to a skirmish map?
It would actually be very simple to convert a map like that to a normal skirmish map, but it might be wise to ask the creator if you can (some creators might have a problems with people messing with their maps).
It's already been done. Search on File front. It's a 4 player map, and i think there also might be a 2 player variant.
i know but they don't work for me
Yup, it is pretty bad, but that map was designed specifically for singleplayer and it really is too small for building a base or vehicles, but that s how most conversions of that maps that i've played have turned out. What were you planning on doing with it? Theres still a couple of conversion mappacks of the Singleplayer campaign maps if you slink over to the RelicNews CoH Forums and have a peek in the Armoury -> Mapping forums, doing a search in there should also help you find older threads too. Here's a linky to the RelicNews CoH Forums. Enjoy! RelicNews Forums - Company of Heroes
well i've done some scouting around that link (cant register for some reason:mad:) and came across the corsix mod studio, i thought my prayers were answerd but when i get to the download page and click on the link it always takes my to a "click here to download" page and when i do nothing happens?!?! i feel bad about this but, can somebody that has the studio pull out the D-day map (unedited) and upload it somewhere and post a download link, that or upload the studio somewhere else please?
Here is the website for Corsix's Mod Studio, Corsix's Mod Studio - General . Go to downloads but wait for the whole page to finihs loading up befoer clicking the link to download, otherwise i found that the download wouldn't work. If it still doesn't work refresh the page and try again. I downloaded it 2-3 weeks ago and i got it on the second try. The RelicNews Forums won't accept hotmail addresses when you register, i had to sign up with an ISP email account, i doubt it'll accept gmail or that sorta thing either, so it's best to use an ISP account to sign up.
the site makes me download a web page where a "click here to download" page pops up, i click the link, and absolutly nothing happens, i click the link that is provided and it just keeps taking me to that page now, when i say "nothing happens" i mean i click the link and no loading bar nor loading screen pops up, it just sits at the page p.s. i don't have gmail, i have msn
