Well, I don't have time on my hands to make any maps or scenarios. So I was wondering if anyone can make a scenario like D-Day Coop. But a World War 1 atmosphere. No building or whatever. Just a field that has totally been annihilated by artillery and theres a number of defensive lines (trenches and bunkers) well placed in the ground with tons of details like hedgehogs, barbed wire and such and a massive artillery line behind you to barrage the enemy. Each wave, it gets harder, with more units coming at you and planes coming, destroying some of your artillery pieces...

Is this possible? I would love to see a map like this.

It would be possible, but time consumming. the trenches and map wouldn't be a problem, the code and balance would be the issue. I might attempt it when I free up some time and finish up some request maps, I already have some nice trenches: relic00059kw7.jpg this map type would go good with 'The Great War 1918' mod that is being built.

Those are some damn sexy trenches! I'd really like to see a map like D-Day Coop too, wit both Infantry trenches zip zagging across the map and larger anti-tank trenches to stop armour. Hell it needn't be WW1, there were still a few battles in WW2 that featured huge amounts of tank traps and trenches.... kursk comes to mind.

That is just one of three trenches on my next map, the idea for the map mentioned is interesting and possible, something I might look in to.

Oh, I was thinkin' of something like the Battle of Somme. But I was also wondering if someone could do Iwo Jima. After all, the Pacific was called America's War. We can't leave it out!

If anyone play COD2, the 1st missions in Russia there was this cool scene where you were in a trench and the Panzers were like running over you, i miss this in OF where trenches are like inpenetratable

Yeah, I remember that. I wanted a scenario where its like a desolate field, completely annihilated by artillery. And make some small lakes of water that can be crossed by infantry because of the rain. Then you or the enemy has to run across the field to hit the enemy in their trenches while their artillery is bombarding you like crazy... See some tanks run over trenches and just charge in. No flame units though, it'll ruin the dramatic battle. xD

German flammenwerfer units were a big thing in 1917 and 1918. A few units of them well supported were really effective at clearing trenches and block houses.
