So, is there a british strategy that actually works? Whenever I play as british I just get my ass kicked. I usually build a bren carrier, upgrade it with a better gun, and go harass enemy squads trying to capture points. Meanwhile, I capture points and try to build up my bas more, but I never really am able to hold anything, the Panzer Elite always slaughter everything I have. Any suggestions?

Defensive lines with 17 pounders and Bofors cannons. MG nests with 3inch mortars behind them. Place everything guarding avenues of approach with interlocking fields of fire. 25 pounders covering the whole mess and out to a far strategic point. Then once you are to the limit of that range, build up again. If you start being attacked with any vehicles, use the 17lber's armor piercing rounds to make quick work of anything. Keep sappers upgraded with the wrench in each area to repair damaged equipment/vehicles. Use the flank speed on tanks to hurry and get around enemy tanks to hit from the rear. Use infantry special abilities whenever you can. (sniper section has a snipe ability to take out MG or 88 gunners quickly) If you pick the artillery commander you get Priests, which pwn the battlefield like Kraut Hummels do. Find enemy positions by looking for arced sandbags or likly positions and fire into the fog of war. Task each one individualy with a barage to cover a larger area. With that same commander the supercharged arty rounds go way further than normal ones.

Spam mortars. Mortar barrages cost nothing and can be very intimidating. The PE are going to take your sectors. It's inevitable until you get a PIAT unit with a LT escorting them. While thier fast, relatively weak units are going for your sectors, hit them with the two-three mortars you've placed about. They may still gbet the strategiv point, but they're going to lose a few guys and have to run rather than defend. Brits are hard to play. Patience and moderation.

Trenches, and lots of them... I do what the brits did in the first world war, lots of artillery, lots of trenches, and once the enemy has taken a decent pounding from priests and howitzers and such i charge. It may take awhile, you will be defending most of the time, but once you get your big artillery guns up then you can take to the offensive.
