Ok, I dont know what is wrong, but i downloaded some maps and I cant find the map folder to put them in. I go into the data folder and it's empty.the notepad that came with the map I downloaded told me to goto ww2/data/Scenarios/MP.I looked around and I cant find anything to do with the maps, I cant find the maps that are on the game already. I dont want to uninstall and reinstall, does anyone know whats up with it?

You are in the right spot with ww2/data/scenarios. You have to make a folder called MP. Right click, new, folder and name it MP. Then put all your maps in that folder. Also you have to go to the CoH shortcut in the main directory and right click, properties it and look where it says target. It should be some thing like C://Prog files.....COH.exe" at the end of this line put a space then -dev It took me 3 days of messing with it to get it to work properly.

within the " signs? or outside of the signs?

outside the quotes it looks like ....COH.exe" -dev
oh.. ok i got it now.. but how do you get mods to work?
Hey, quick question - do you have to change anything if CoH is in a different folder?
me COH folder is in D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes ....I have a scenarios/MP folder in there and I added the -dev command to my shortcut...nothing works.....even went into the .xml files that the maps came with and changed the C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\... to D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\... which also didn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Your short cut target line should look like this. "D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev There should be a space between the end quote and the dash. Also the new map, in your D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\WW2\Data\Scenarios\mp folder, should have its own sub folder -- like mp\Canyon Conflict_v2 (4)\ then all the files. That folder name will not show up in the game, but it helps keep map files seperate in the mp folder. The game does not care how many subfolders you have -- it just searches for .sgb files. By the way, if the map you downloaded is an .sga file, it go in a totally different loction and does not require the -dev.
