Hi All, Very new game player and really liking COH's. I'm one of those that can't play first person type games - get kind of sick  from the movement. Tried COD the first one, basic training - can't do it. Any way my little problem is I have tried to reinstall COH after my "buddy" played several missions on my PC and can't get rid of them. Have contacted THQ and the response was to use the game un-insaller then CCleaner, then reinstall. To make a long story short, the played missions are still there. Tried several times using Windows add/remove, Revo uninstaller. Anyone know which registry files I need to fix. Thankx XP SP2 -
Uninstall COH, Go to your My Documents\My Games folder, and delete the folder Company of Heroes, reinstall COH
Sgt Thanks for the reply, but I have done that as well. Even reformatted the drive that it was installed on. Has to be in the registry - remnant files.
Then your lying out your ass If you reformatted NOTHING is left on the hard drive NOTHING is, not even the registry. So If you are trying to tell me that a reformat didn't work, then you a liar.
Its not the registry, the registry has NOTHING to do with the progress made in the campaign of Company of Heroes. The ONLY place the campaign data is stored is the Company of Heroes, my games folder, deleting that WILL fix it
Look sgt numnuts, Calling people lying out of their ass hole is just being childish. I didn't say C: drive did I. Even the guy at THQ support said that is was in the registry. Sgt numnuts, when ever you load a prog (most) onto your PC the registry gets changed. I have deleted all files after the uninstall and formated the HD that the game was loaded on SGT NUMNUTS read the last post and not just skim it - READ IT SGT NUMNUTS no wonder you can't read, your from Aussie land, I'll have to write upside down for you. No, You havn't formated, the guy from THQ has no idea what hes talking about, campaign progress DOES NOT get saved in the registry, your calling me childish, and yet your the one with personal attacks, poor spelling, and a poor understanding of the workings of computers. You also say I 'skim' read your post, and yet your the one who DID NOT clarify what partition you formatted, and you expect me to automatically know what partition you formatted without you telling me.
The registry does not get changed when a new program is installed, it gets added to, new keys are added into the registry. When you uninstall a game, the registry keys are removed, and if they arn't, if you ran Crap Cleaner like 'THQ' told you to, then they would have been removed.
Down to nice and simple knowledge. Campaign is not saved in the registry. Cleaning it will not solve the problem Formatting the drive will not solve the problem. The problem IS with the My Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes directory
You are aware that THQ have NOTHING to do with Company of Heroes, the only thing they do is PUBLISH the game, they do not provide technical support for it, if they are contacted then they will offer what little they know.
RELIC produce the game, relic provide technical support.
Some Advice for you, Learn to spell, Learn to communicate, use some basic common sense, don't start personal attacks, and don't EVER insult an entire country for what one person said.
You will get no assistance that way

Keep it civil kiddies, though Pilla is right, the campaign is not stored in the registry, and if it was on the drive you formatted, it will have been erased along with everything else.

What the hell you saying about Aussies?! Look, clearly where ever your from your bred thicker than jam, must be the inbreeding or animal fornication. Either way the campaigns are saved to My Games\Company Of Heroes\ and it'll be on the hard drive or partition that has you Windows install on it. Seriously we're mostly a fairly nice bunch around here, and if you ask for help nicely, you'll get it if we can. Sgt Pilla is probably one of the msot helpful people here, and i certainly haven't read a thread when he hasn't tried to help. We can only help you with the information you give us, now at no point (before the flame war) did you say you had multiple partitions or hard drives, or that you had CoH installed to a different one from your Windows install. Now since most beginners only use the one partition on their computer, and you were complaining you couldn't find your saves, it is pretty clear you are a beginner, and so it was right to assume you only had the one hard drive or partition. Everything Sgt Pilla has said was right, so in the future perhaps you could provide a bit more relevant info, and be a whole lot more polite. You said your new to CoH, and it's clear your new to these forums, so perhaps you could stop acting like a child and do things a bit more civil.
Love you Lethal :) lol
Private Newbie here... Forgive my innocence (or ignorance). Is it possible Aussie is not aware of the TWO locations where files might be hiding? C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\... and C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\My Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\... It is possible he was overlooking one or the other when looking to delete the folder with the mission file?
