Alright, this is starting to piss me off. I almost never play RTS's and the last RTS i played was WARHAMMER: The Dark Crusade, so my tactics are no good since this is a "realistic", if realistic means enemies can take 10 bullets before one soldier dies, RTS. Well anyway, what should i do, my main strategy was to just sit there on one side for a while, racking up experiance with the candelier and the mortar by taking out vehicles and soldiers but when i fix the bridge and go over, its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to survive. I mean the closest i got to lasting the complete 30 minutes was about 4 minutes and they all just fag rushed me. It's impossible, without having atleast 2 tanks helping me, which i don't! Why is it that i'm nearing the end of the game and i still don't have any tanks which "I" can build? I built up tank traps, but they do next to nothing, i built landmines, but those damn panther tanks just plow through em, it took 6 mines (by this i mean 2 sets) to make the thing go out of control and there was a flamer tank (dont really know the name) right behind it. It seems like no matter what i do they always just rape me. And i also tried to capture some points around me too, to gain some extra resource and eliminate any extra krouts, but it seems like that just ended up in one huge cluster****, as i tried to regroup all my soldiers to where the enemy was... This is litterely making me punch myself...

You know before you roll over the bridge into the town, you can sit there and wait as long as you like and build up your base and get tanks. I always liked to build two upgunned shermans with the .50cal upgrade as well as fully upgraded Riflemen as well as the mortar and Calliope. Also, they don't start attacking you till after you capture the town, if you leave that strategic point and cap around it it'll be ages before they attack. I managed to cap the entire map, build tank traps in all the chokepoints to funnel the majority of enemy troops, get more tanks and 2x airborne squads with RR and almost totally destroy the enemy base at the top of the map before they finally attacked me. Picking up all the extra resource crates scattered around the map also helps too. BTW, ST Fromond isn't near the end of the US campaign, it's probably half way there, and if it's giving you trouble, then you're really gonna struggle with the later maps, especially with achieveing the medals.

lol, i just now realized that there is an option to build "offensive" buildings, and by that i mean that the buildings you build units and vehicles with. This whole time throughout the entire campaign i've been playing without using those building structures and only using the defensive structures... And i could've beaten this game 5 times quicker....

Well that figures why you suck balls at the game, good luck playing multiplayer then if you couldn't even figure out how to build a tank! If you have no idea of how to play a new game, that it's just common sence that you have a look at the tutorial. I suppose when you get finish puberty (what that? haven't started?) and get a car you won't read the manual either?

Hah. Idiot.

Company of Heroes isn't your typical RTS game. It forces you to think in order to survive. Every unit counts and you can't build and spam your way through situations. The tutorial teaches you heaps of need to know information about the game, if you are struggling to finish the campaign, don't go near multiplayer, you'll get an ass-whooping of the highest accord.

Easy there mr. raging testosterones. I never use tutorials unless they are IMPLEMENTED into the game (meaning that you have to do them before you play the game) and rarely do they ever help, since i learn whatever it is i need to know through experimentation instead of being taught it like some ignorant ****. And what the hell does puberty have to do with not using a Tutorial? Is it part of your internet lingo that if you don't do things the "EASY" way or "YOUR" way then your subject to being an under age kid who doesn't know how to play games? Please, your blissful ignorance salts the wounds of this thread. It's hard to imagine such a "little" raged up "kid" such as yourself get angry over a little joke such as "Tutorials are for pussies". And if i "suckballs" (probably part of your still maturing choice of offensive dialogue) then why don't you try going through half the game without using the primary unit structure buildings. Because that's what i've been doing until a couple days ago, which now it's a breeze playing through this game. By the way, your sarcastic FPS comment is almost as redundant as his.

 So your suggesting i should rely on Engie spam and rely on scripted offmap reinforcements and doctrine abilities? Wow, how noobish is that. You see i'm actually mature enough that when i get a new game and really have no idea how to play i actually do a few tutorials to learn the basic game mechanics and see how the game plays, i rarely finish tutorials though cus i've usually learnt what i need to play properly. My main point in all this was of course that if you'd actually even taken a small look at the tutorials you'd have learnt how to build buildings since your experimenting didn't show you that, but i suppose you were so quick to flame me that you didn't see that, much like the build button in the engineers menu. Oh and by the way, i'd be happy to play you online, but sadly for you i have a life, so i'll just respond to your next flame in likewise fashion in a few days, by then i'm sure you would have finished doing your homework and done fantasising about you gym teacher over tranny porn, after all, that must be what all your experimentation started with right?
