Theres too many games that have the map making but no tuts with them, plus cant a game maker make a simple map maker where it runs like a windows program, so you can choose the objects eg: buildings, tanks, objectives, spawn points, guns, land, sea, etc, etc. and drag them around the screen until you have them in the right place, just like the programs where you can design your own house?? It would make it a lot easier for some of the newbies if they want to make their own maps. Just a thought :D

http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/%7Emap/callofduty/forums/index.php?showforum=4 http://www.codcommand.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=15 The first site is an execelent source for tutorials in sp and the second site has a game I built called flakattack that has the map file in it. Tear the mapfile apart and it should help you figure out some of the aspects of sp game building. You can make prefabs of the items on the map that you like by highlighting the group you want and hit the edit button in the editor and click save selected as prefab. Make sure you make a prefab folder in your call of duty main file area. Thats where the pk3 files are located. I am glad to see more people getting intrested in sp game building.:flag: http://www.iwnation.com/Forums/index.php?showforum=38 and here for video tutorials on map building.

Have you seen the new CryEngine for Far Cry? There's a video of it on the UbiSoft Far Cry website. It's very much like your asking, you can select say a rock for example and then just place it on your map. Also it has "What you see is what you play" i.e. you can play the game in the same window as your are editing in :D

Because we dont want a lame game like delta force or something, with every map having a house thats 100% same as the ones in all the maps and so on,so either get delta force or some other game,or leave call of duty alone or start learning it!
