Hey I was jsut wondering if anyone was planning or have heard about a snipers mod-maybe some new maps,different guns and that sh*t stuff they tryed to pull of in 1.2 with sniping instead of making the guns even they made them totaly unfiar sorry but u have no grace when u spray with an auto you only have style when ur sniping and they destroyed that in 1.2 say shout here if there is any word on a snipers mod

nowhere in your incoherant rambling did you even come close to a correct answer. i award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

usually people use punctuation when trying to speak, you didn't you dolt. now i think my master intellect figured that what you were trying to say was how hard the game is for snipers when smgs are always ablaze. well face the facts, snipers are basically useless in games like this, since all characters are of the same value, and no one kill will be important to victory. you might as well use a normal rifle to "snipe," then if the need arises, you can still run into battle with it. you can also use your pistol, it comes in handy during firefights as well. that's it for my suggestions, just stop complaining how hard a fake game is, and spend more time studying up on grammar punctuation.

(note: capitalization errors are overlooked, as long as periods denotate a sentence break)

Thrillho is right, the only map that a sniper rifle can be fully utilized in is Hurtgen, due to its open expanses and ample cover. I share this guy's pain when it comes to those soulless runner and gunners, they sap a lot of fun outta the game....but enough of me, i already put my 2 cents in

hurtgen is the only stock sniping map, but there are a lot of good created maps for sniping. my server uses most of those, as well as hurtgen. we have levels like the bridge, landsitz, burnbank, pegasus night, sniperwood day(subject to change), snipers canyon, and a few more. check us out at 69.28.242.80:28961, were usuallly pretty full

Hmmm... speaking of a Sniper's Mod, I have a couple of ideas you guys might like to comment on and which maybe some experienced modders can use to create such a mod. :D Well, first of all, for a sniper's mod I think it would be appropriate and realistic for you to begin each map with a sniper rifle of course, a sidearm pistol, and a couple of grenades; without a secondary primary weapon for realism. It would also be pretty cool to add some weapons missing from COD as of right now (pre-expansion I mean), such as the Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1 sniper rifle (giving the British their own sniper rifle), the 1903A3/Unertl Marine spec Springfield sniper rifle (I know COD takes place in the ETO, but who knows it's possible that some of these variants of the Springfields reached the ETO; besides it'd be pretty cool to have another rifle to choose from :naughty:), and different pistols for the British and Russians such as the Webley and Enfield revolvers and preferably the 9mm semi auto Inglis for the British (or we could just stick to the Colt :rolleyes: for them) and the 7.62mm semi auto Tokarev TT33 pistol for the Russians. Another nice detail that would make the sniper role of the game more realistic via a mod would be the correction of both the magfications on the various number of sniper scopes in COD and scope reticles. For example, the 1903A4 Springfield sniper rifle was issued with a 2.5x Weaver Scope, the 1903A3/Unertl Springfield was issued with an 8x Unertl scope, the Mosin Nagant 91/30 came with a 3.5x PU scope, the Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1 (T) was issued with a No.32 Mk. 3 4x scope, I'm not sure what scopes were issued with the Kar 98k but I think they were 4x as well. I found these specs through online resources so I might be wrong on some of them... However, what I'm trying to say is that it would be extremly realistic as well an awesome detail if the zoom of the sniper rifles in COD varied according to the specific scope and magnification issued to the rifle (for example, the 8x Springfield has more zoom than the 2.5x Springfield and the Enfield and Kar98k have a little more zoom than the Mosin Nagant and etc). Regarding the reticles, I couldn't find information on them but I'm pretty sure I read on the forums somewhere that they arent correct; as far as I know, American reticles are like a plus while German and Russian reticles are T shaped. What British reticles look like I have no clue. But once again correct reticles on the correct scopes/rifles would be an awesome little detail in a mod. :deal: Another cool detail I just thought about would be to randomly issue German and Russian sniper rifles to the player with rifle covering (as seen in Enemy at the Gates, Vassili's rifle is covered in cloth, I believe for camo; I have also seen pictures of German snipers with a similar type of rifle covering) via the mod. I'm not sure about American and British snipers doing this, does anyone know? I know you guys probably think I have no life after reading all this, but I'm bored and I thought I'd share a few ideas with you. What do you guys think?
