I have an idea that I would very much like to see carried out. It is a map based on the realms of Gondor and Mordor from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. On the west side of the map could be the seven-layered white city of Minas Tirith, all the way from the lower gate to the top of the citadel. This would look out over the Pelennor Fields. Running through this low-land is the Great River (Anduin) dividing the ruined stronghold of Osgiliath. In the far Eastern portion of the map would stand Barad-Dur, the Dark Tower, shielded partially by the Mountains of Shadow. If it is possible, though I doubt it, Mount Doom would be a great addition to this map. Many maps are avaliable online or in the front of the novels. If you have not read the book, make sure you have seen the newest movie, The Return of the King. I'm sure if you have read the books you have already gone to see the movie:D. It is absolutely amazing, as could this map be with the right amount of effort. Respond with any ideas, suggestions, or if you are interested in taking on this project.

No, I have never played that game, but I am sure they would have already made a map like that when they released the game. I am talking about Call of Duty.

Well I've just seen the film today and I know what your on about, but what about the scale, for example the city or Minas Tirith is (from guesses looking at the film) about 2-3 miles high, I'm not sure how high that is in inches (1 unit = 1 inch in cod), also I can see the army that is in the white city being 100% snipers and running to the courtyard at the top of the city, then sniping at the ant's at the rivers edge.... never mind the fact that the map would be tooo large for the Cod engine as some people are hitting the maximum values now with what they thought was a 'good' sized map for large (32+ players)... Also it would have to be done as a TC for cod, as playing as allied v axis on this type of map would be silly IMHO.

The Scale would definately have to be changed greatly. The map would be based on the cities, not exact replicas. Also, the distances from Minas Tirith to Osgiliath and then to Mordor would have to be shortened alot. A proper scale could be chosen to portray the Realms well enough, while still being appropriate for COD. From Tolkien's eyes, the Nazis would be the ones coming from Mordor and Allied from Minas Tirith, but I see where one could find this subjective.
