i have been skining TGA files for a long time, i know its limitations and capabilities. my TGA tool is quit amazing sadly it doesn't do DDS. and ya i know there dark, that's what i was going for. i do not want normal the normal CoH look, so i went for something darker with more contrast. ya, i may lighten em up a bit though thanks for the advice.

in the description, you said put them weapons to 10 range so i did and i forgot to change the requirements and the whole camera thing, i can not edit, nor can i delete it, so trying to play a mission when your picture of them map is like 1 by 1 inch and you cant zoom in, kinda sucks. so im just gonna restart it...

Just open up Windows Explorer and delete the offending files, it's not hard, and shouldn't necessitate starting from scratch again. But it does go to show you should make regular backups. Hell i have 2 versions of my mod, a development version without most of the skins, a complete version for playing on LANs, and 3 different backup versions. Lt Apollo; you might know the limits of the .tga format, but between CoH and Corsix's Mod Studio, you've hit those limits pretty hard :lol: . Many things don't like .tga, and you don't have a hope of doing infantry or vehicle skins in .tga. The only thing i've found that likes .tga more or less the same as .dds are icons, symbols and portraits, etc. I think it'd just be easier if you want to do skins for CoH to just move to GIMP, it's free and there's plenty of plugin support (.dds plugin) which you might need if you move to doing something else.

the problem is, the folder that is corrupted is the default camera and i can not open it, every time i try i get an error to do so. i tried making a copy of it and it did not work, just made the same thing. so if i was able to somehow delete it i still would also have to import the same file from another folder which i do not know how to do on that...

i use TGA all the time, its working perfectly for me, i have yet to find a situation my tool doesn't work (well despite the glitch). i currently have 8 infantry, 4 weapon and 2 tank skins realised. i have been able to do incredible things with contrast and overlapping textures (my tool allows for me to make any texture see through really useful for adding textures to the face or a light camo pattern to tanks) DDS is a good format but i like my TGA tools better. thanks for the info though i will check out our tool and see if it works better than my TGA one.

tdo; Instead of trying to open the file or copy it, have you tried just deleting it? But going into your mod's folder, finding the one specific file and deleting it, it'll save you a lot of work and you'll probably only take 5 mins to redo the changes.

ok i got the mod to work, but the squad that i made only fires 1 shot every 6 seconds or so with 4 of them (at close range) and the only grenade they throw are the ones i tell them to... so the mod is pretty much dead right now...

um ya i just made your grenadier and its working 100% for me. i just created a new version of the grenade and made some new burst and fire rate attributes. a little overpowered so i am giving it a horrible accrucy Edit: ya there is 1 bug, solder is lazy after through and he doesn't like walking so now he hovers moving his arm only lol. you think this is wierd you should see my test nuke troopers lol, they shoot v1s

Hay pilla I would like to ask you if you could a small favor for me. I want you to create a tactical nuke for coh heroes…. I know this sounds far fetched now but I have thought out a way to do this via coding, sadly I am a amateur coder and this requires a lot of in depth knowledge. Step 1: initial explosion (v1 blast) Step 2: area around explosion burst into flames (1-1.5 seconds after explosion) Step 3: shock wave demolish burning area (2 seconds after area burst into flames) Step 4: fallout rains from sky over map (50 seconds after blast) I have come to conclude that step 2 and step 4 will be the hardest to code. For step 1 just have a projectile with an enlarged v1 explosion For step 2 you must code a giant flame grenade like effect that extends out of the explosion radius and catches every thing on fire that kills all infantry, but dose little to tanks or buildings besides catching them on fire. For step 3 you will haft to create an invisible effect that obliterates objects that survived the inferno. For step 4 you should have a delayed trigger that causes a snow effect, that while in effect will cause infantry to after a period of 5 minutes to randomly die off 1 by 1. (this effect is not required but would add allot of realism to the bomb) Well that’s it for my request. I hope you can do this pilla but if you cant I will understand.
