Alright, the last time I had Company Of Heroes downloaded was about 6 months ago. I want to see if anything has changed such as the way mods are created and how they now work.
The point I'm trying to get across is that if a Mod is created, do you still have to load the original Company Of Heroes to play it. If you understand how Half Life 2 works they give you the basic files to start with, which then appears in your steam games meaning you could run your Mod, customize it to how you feel and simply change it's source code. With Company of heroes, I remember it was just members skinning players, introducing large squad sizes and finally editing players health and you would have to run the Company Of Heroes to play it.
I'm sorry if its all a bit too confusing.
Well modding CoH is a bit further along now, we're even sorta able to get new vehicles ingame now, but other than that running mods, etc. hasn't changed... and i'm still here.
What about Coding, do you still create a document or is their a easier way?
AFAIK nothing's changed since CoH was released in-so-far as modding tools, etc. The OE being withdrawn by Relic is really old news now, and your bound to have heard about that if you only went away 6 months ago. All coding is still don't via Corsix's Mod Studio, so i don't have a clue by what you mean by having to create a document.
What I mean by coding is Scar Coding, in which you create a document, write the script and it happens In-Game.
Oh, well thats the same shitty scripting by hand as always... i'm sad to say.
