It was one of your maps, Operation Market Garden. Me and my cousin played as the axis like always and set the computer on hard. Mannnnnnnnnn it was very very tough board for my play style ( i like to use alot of armor) and it was very hard to get the armor into the city. but all and all me and my cousin won and we had destory something like 200 allied armor units (thanks to his 88's). We only lost about 25 armor units. But we had a great time fighting it was like a real war, they pushed us back from the middle of the map to our bases. They even had my cousin base on fire lol and had destroyed all his buildings. But then we held our ground and push back slowlyyyyyyy and slowlyyyyyy intill we won. great map dude ( that mase next to the axis base is a pain lol) keep up the great work and make some 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4 also :) i need to get my other cousin on these great boards :) Asera P.S Ill post some screenies with the stats from that game. I just had to record it :)

Glad you like the map. I am in the process of updating Market Garden so armor will be a little more effective, not to much though hehe. I might also make a 3vs3 version of the map. I would love to see your screenshots :)

I like most of your maps, FlakNinja. But, I do agree that Operation Market Garden needs more work! Here is a list of the maps I have found worthy of keeping (so far), and my comments about each. Berchtesgaden (4) -- Very fun, but to many bridges. Canyon Conflict_v2 (4) -- I use this map's files as a benchmark for creating missing files (loadscreen, mini maps) for other maps. Dam Busters (4) -- Very fun. D-Day (4) -- Fun for coop play, as allied only. Eder Dam (6) -- Contest winner and its excellent! Meuse River Line (8) -- fun, but objects are over done. Montallegro (8) -- Very fun. Operation Cold River (4) -- Fun, but has a bad choke point. Operation Market Garden (4) -- Very fun, needs less buildings and a better bridge(s). Pine Crest's Valley Town (2) -- Very fun, but a few to many fences. Salisbury's Town (2) -- Very fun, wish it were 4 player. St Mere Dumont (2) -- Very fun. A friend and I like to play coop a lot, so we look for 4 player and up maps, mostly.

Nice summary tltrude. Operation:Market Garden 1b should fix most of the problems people were having. Have you had a chance to try it yet? I keep getting my butt kicked on my own map lol. It seems really hard sometimes when I play it. >< I really like the new map I released, Soldier's Folly but I wish it was more of a challange. I can kick the computers butt on expert no problem. I might rearrange a few things and see if I can make it more of a challange. ;)

lol I like blowing bridges myself. I don't think it would be fair to the axis if it blocked them off though since the allies don't have any bridges near them. I try to be fair to both sides when making a map. I understand that war isn't always fair but this is just a game ;)

Yes, I played Operation:Market Garden 1b and it is much improved. Although, I was hoping the central bridge would be bigger, and able to block passage when destroyed. But, that is just me -- I love blowing bridges!

OMG, have you never blown the bridges of "Vire River Valley"? It forces the players (and AI) to fight over the central crossing. But, the bridges can also be rebuilt fast -- by lots of engineers. Its a great tactical move, by either side, when done right. Actually, I think the Axis have an advantage with bridges. They can place a "Goliath" on a bridge as an automatic detonator. Any Allied squad or vehicle will shoot it, as they try to cross, and bring down the bridge. I didn't mean that your map should have three bridges, and no crossings. I was just saying that making the central bridge a tactical option would add to the fun.

I tried Soldier's Folly and it is an excelent map! You are right about it being to easy, and I think I know why. The axis AI does not have enough room to build a tank depot. Or, perhaps the roads are too narow -- The axis light armor does not seem to know how to move away from the base. That said, I found myself wishing for a 4 player version. Although, I know it is probably too small for that.

I will look into fixing the AI difficulty. Its not only the axis thats to easy but also the allies. I think I know how to resolve this issue so be on the look out for version 2 of Soldier's Folly. Maybe I can squeeze it into a 4 player map but don't get your hopes up :p
