Guys lets be honest - COH cannot yet be touched in the RTS genre but beyond pairs it is just 1v1 + 2V2 +3v3 +4v4. Once you get beyond 2v2 you need to be playing WIC and that for those of you who know it, it is in MHO an absolute truth. I cannot believe you guys are still making maps beyond 4 players. If you want a genuine team game then for goodness sake get WIC - it is not as complex or intricate and demanding as COH but I promise you it is a lot of fun, really fun. Unfortunately they have cocked up the clan section to a degree - the essence of the game is 8v8, but I guess its tricky to get 8 players online all at the same time so we have a watered down clan thing which is not ideal but can be fun for all that.

I am only writing this because I reckon you guys CAN have the best of both worlds. Play WIC when you want some genuine team action and COH when its 1 v1 or 2 v2 because that is where genuine skill holds total command.

If you want a good teamed based multi play, in CoH, try the Europe in Ruins mod.

As long as we are plugging other games here, I recently dug up "Soldiers: Heroes of WWII" and am very much liking it. When I first got it It was the hardest thing ever, control wise, but after months of CoH-ing I have gotten more the hang of it. Where you do not get huge armies (say 5 soldiers for the whole level) It is still very indepth as an RTS, bordering on FPS. You can have direct control of any one unit at a time in movment and firing which is very useful and takes out enemies very quickly. The indepth part is staggering because you can examine bodies and crates and take ammo, grenades, extra weapons, but you only have so much room, and your soldier will go much slower with heavier load. With vehicles you must manually load fuel and ammunition from wrecked vehicles (same caliber of course) and repair them when they break, which is often. The environment is totaly destructible from trees to buildings. The sequel is called "Faces of War" and is just as indepth. 4 campaigns in the first one, and three in the second with bonus missions. Sereously, if you want something different from CoH try this game. Search reveiws too.

Thanks for that tip - lets see how I go now - I have got the game but could never win a single mission!!

Thats exactly how I was, I was so mad cuz the controls are hella wierd. (move camera with numpad, move direct control w/ arrow keys, right click does almost nothing, all commands are left click, almost every key has a function...) but now I am almost all thru the missions. Did I mention the physics, awsome.
