Greetings to all! This is my first time posting and I must say I find the topics very interesting, I try to read them all. I just got Company of Heroes and this game rules! Best graphics I've seen. My simple wish is that I hope they release a patch that would increase the pop cap a bit. I play skirmish a lot and it would be nice if I can build 4 maybe 5 Shermans or Panthers with 3 to 4 squads behind each say 2 infantry squads, 1 MG, 1 mortar, maybe a medic or two. I've read that there are good Mods out there but which one should I try. I like to play my game as realistic as possible, secure sectors, avoid too much casualties and such. An option to release a weapon like MG or ATgun after a squad grabbed it would also be nice. I'm sorry for the long post.

I absolutely agree on the option to release captured weapons to free up infantry assets. The modding community here has put up some great mods. I think there's a little bit for everyones tastes.
The problem is once u start messing around with pop limits it will change the balance of the whole game. Also this game is not about spamming loads of units like on c&c3 , and that imo is why it is so much better than any other rts. Every unit is valued , u have to use diferent units to counter others , u have to use cover provided by the map to gain advantage in fire fights and also decide what upgrades to use... If u start to turn the game into a spam feast of units then alot of the tactics will become voided.
That's true, having a lower pop cap makes the game more challenging (for me). Most of the time I find myself shifting troops in order to counter an attack. A slight increase in pop cap would be nice still but so far, I've been playing CoH with no mods and I'm liking it a lot be it axis or allies. I have another question though, can the MG team be positioned before entering a building? they cover 3 corners or 2 depending on the structure but can the main weapon be ordered to point and cover an area? I'd post this as a separate post but I hope it's okay if I just ask here.
As far as i know , no ... and they can only shoot the direction where the windows are facing. As far as i know the mg team moves within the building so that the heavy mg will engage the sighted enemy. But if they enemy come from 2 seperate directions it willl only fire at one ( a good trick for taking out mg's , send a 1 squad into the mg's firing line but in some cover , while another comes from the a seperate direction with grenades or engineers with flame thrower to clear the building )
Oh yea , and the more sectors you control the more population u are allowed , So take that into consideration when u wonder why the enemy has more units than u. If you want more units then capture more sectors.
I wish the expansion pack or mod should have hand to hand combat. :)
