all that you have to do is this: if your the host - > start a Custom Game, then once is loads press the "`" on your keyboard (just to the left of the number 1 button), and type "status" without the quotes in there, and press enter. in there yourll see a lot on info but hwat ur looking for is "tcp/ip: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:27015" (where the X's are numbers). once u find this, write it down on paper and give it to whoever u want to be able to join your game. tell them to do the same thing, start a custom game and hit "`", but they must type this instead "connect XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:27015" and hit enter. they should be able to get in this way, because it works for me and my buddies. good luck! if u need help email me.

if you are after a lan on your home network it would be much easier to just load up cs and click new game then set all your settings then the server will show up in the lan section for all those on the same network
