Hi every1, I am currently running my own dedicated server. And I know that Steam has an .mp3 player built into it. I can play songs on CS through the console but when I try the same command on the dedicated server console, the server chrashes. (Command: mp3 play mp3/*) I've been to a server where it plays music, so I know its possible. Do I need a mod? Any help would be nice.

blytereally? how do you play the mp3's?
what kind of a tool are you. thats what he's asking ~
Hey, ok to play back mp3s through the console do the following: 1) Create a folder named "mp3" in C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/*your-email*/counter-strike/cstrike 2) Then copy all the mp3s you want into that folder then optionaly rename them to something easy to remember ex: 1, 2, 3 3) Load CS 4) Now anywhere you can get to the console, you can play back your music 5) Type the following command "mp3 play mp3/*your song name w/ out the extension* 6) Starts playing it instantly, enjoy
To stop playback type "mp3 stop" in the console. Or repeat step 5 to start a new song.
Now what I wanted to know is how to get an mp3 loaded onto my dedicated server, my server crashes every time I type it into the console on the dedicated server :( I know its possible because i've been to a server that does it, or do they do it by editing the map and adding the mp3 to the list of files to download? ex: humiliation, headshot But I don't think they did it that way with this server because the song wasn't cached on my computer and I didn't have to download it before playing the map. Any help would be very helpful!
