Could some one please point me in the right direction? I'm looking to set up a server on my lan but only want to have certain maps. How do I create a campaign to do this? I just started playing around with this and am unable to find the info I need. Thanks for the help

Ragnar_40k, Thanks that did it. How about upload speed? The best I can get is 10k even on my lan. Not sure what I'm over looking. I checked everything I can think of. Thanks for the help

You should check your server config (file name "server.cfg", etmain subfolder). Here is a little example with comments for the most important cvars for connection speed: // Download rates. set sv_maxRate "25000" // Bandwith available for each client in Byte for gaming. // Default is 10000, for LAN it can be increased to 25000. // The client has a rate setting which must be adjusted too // (e.g. via console, with the command "/rate 25000"). // The lower of both values is taken for data transfer. // E.g. the client has a setting of 10000 and the // server has a setting of 5000, then 5000 is used for communication. set sv_lanForceRate "1" // You can override this behavior for LAN games by setting sv_lanForceRate. // This forces LAN clients to the server rate instead of accepting client setting.

set sv_dl_maxRate "100000" // Bandwith available for each client in Byte to download stuff, // e.g. maps and other .pk3s. If you set it to "-1" the value is // equal to sv_maxRate.

// cvars for enabling downloads. The client has to enable it too: "Options"->"Game"->"Download" set sv_allowDownload "1" // Is downloading (from the game server or from a web redirect) // allowed at all ("0"=no, "1"=yes)? set sv_wwwDownload "0" // Is download done via web redirect ("0"=no, "1"=yes)?

// Download locations (only used if enabled). set sv_wwwBaseURL "http://www.webaddress.com/downloads/" // Base URL for redirection, can be http or ftp protocol. set sv_wwwFallbackURL "http://www.backup.net/" // Backup URL to send to if an http/ftp download // fails or is refused client side.

// Additional settings. set sv_wwwDlDisconnected "1" // The client is disconnected from the (game)server while doing a // www-download, so he doesn't use a spectator slot ("0"=no, "1"=yes). Be aware that you can't redirect the www-download to the .pk3 files located in the etmain subfolder, because when the game server is running these files are considered to be in use and the the download will fail. So you have to copy the files elsewhere and link them there.

ok, One more. I have edited my server config in the etmain. But when I start the server it runs the default settings. Any idea on what I'm doing wrong
