i like the Kar98k, but i prefer the Lee-enfield. the Lee has 10 bullets, better mobility, and a more fine-tuned sight. i love the lee. The mp40 is a good SMG but the thompson is slightly more powerful and has a higher rate of fire, althugh it's not as accurate at long ranges. the MP44 is hard to use because of the recoil, but if you can learn to use it in the sights, its a very good gun. Be batient and use it as a rifle in single shot, or learn to counter the recoil, pull down and to the left as you shoot with it in the sights. DO NOT USE THE MP44 FROM THE HIP. IT IS NOT AT ALL ACCURATE. and of course the sniper rifle just sucks. cuz they all do.....stupid noob snipers.
The German wepeons are just fine, you just suck at using them.
yes the German weapons are at a disatvantage [I use kar98k] same thing in MoH. I agree take the PPSh and the Thompson down just a little bit then there would be less spazz machine gunners running around like 5 pot of coffee drinking prozack taking peeps who think they are playing Quake.
Ok, couple of things.
The PPSh fired 71 rounds from a 71 round drum mag (or 35 stick) at OVER 900 ROUNDS PER MINUTE! The MP40 clocked in at a sluggish 500. The Stein sucks bad, really bad. Slow ROF and very innacurate. The reason that there is no German version of the M1A1 Carbine is because the K98 itself is a carbine... Shorter version of a rifle named the M48 (i think thats the name). The STG44/MP44 is pretty much dead on.
Sorry to say, but the German weapons are really that bad, and the American/British weapons really were that good...
The reason there was no equivalent of the M1a1 Carbine is not because of the Mauser Karabiner 98 being a carbine of the Gewehr 98, but because Hitler ceased all rifle production.
Maschinen Pistoles were really never part of the German War Strategy, which centered around the MG-42 being supported by Riflemen. The K98 was a dependable rifle, and even although it was not semi-automatic or as versatile a weapon as say an M1 Garand, it got the job done, but not as well as a working K43 could do in a typical engagement.
The Sten is no more worse, if not better, than the MP-40. It shot the very same ammunition, and later versions of it, I believe the MkIII or MkIV, had a solid wooden stock. The Rate of Fire between all versions of the Sten and the MP-40 are identical.
Evil_Timi watched the history channel on a show about the ak47 and in a interview mikhail kalisnikov says that his gun was not developed from the mp44 he made the ak47 where he had no knowledge of the mp44 where he worked in a railroad depot with a team and his wife he had a prototype in 1945 but the russians instead adopted the sks siminov he worked for 2 more years on the prototype and in 1947 it was tested and odopted by the russians he also claims he found out about the mp44 after the war by that time he was working on the akm he said that it makes him very angery when people say it was the german mp44 where he got the design for the ak47
The AK47 was adopted by the Soviets in 1949. At that time, there was no other firearm that looked like this or had this basic form. They may be very different mechanically, but I think this pictures speaks for itself about the inspiration. There is no coincidence here. I don't believe for one second that the AK47 was not inspired by the Stg44. If the designer says otherwise, he is obviously lying. LOL

Praet0rian:thatsgreat: Do not revive old threads, please.
Then post a list of the expiration dates for threads so we will know which ones are officially "too old" for someone to post in. Post a cut-off date. Close them. Delete them. Lots of people post in threads that are 6 wereks to 6 months old. I don't see anyone but you telling me not to post in threads and closing them right after I post something. I understand that you dislike me because I have stood up for myself when people like WiseBobo trail me from thread to thread to start off topic arguments based on absurd claims that cannot be proven. But whatever you do, please do not follow me, and just me, from thread to thread to harass me because I posted something. This is the 2nd thread you have followed me to today to tell me that. Troll someone else for a change.
No! I'm Spamacus!

Large threads (Twenty or more posts) are considered dead after about a month. If a forum is really active this can go all the way down to a week. By the way, I never recieved your e-mai if you sent it, apparently there is something wrong with the system. Could you PM me instead?

That being the case, I will not post in a thread that has not been posted to in 4 weeks. Where it says at the top of someone's post "4 weeks ago" I will consider it closed. Less than that and I will consider it open. How's that? I don't quite understand the "down to a week" thing though. A very active thread becomes off limits in a week, but a lesser active one in a month? *scratching head* I did send you an email, but appearently it did not go through somehow. I do not have any IM apps installed (hate them). I will try it again, or another way if I can find one, maybe with Outlook Express if I can find your email addy listed on the forums, although i doubt it is posted that way.
