If you have crashing problems post in this thread with your specs and symptoms.

If CoD runs perfectly fine with no crashes, post your specs and settings.

I wanna get to the bottom of this. I wanna know how come CoD works for half the fans and doesn't work for the other half.

not true. here's my specs

800 mhz amd athlon on asus mobo via kt133 both controllers are via and im on win98se so i have as recommended by via the 4.35 4n1's installed. nv gf-fx5200 with 52.16 dets installed clean. 765mb of pc100 ram, soundblaster live platinum. 1024x768 32 bit

i started this game on an asus v6600 pro gf256 32mb card with 44.03 dets.

with everything on medium settings both demos and game ran great!

switched to the gf-fx-5200 with 52.16 dets and maxed everything, except ejecting brass and the game is beautiful!!! and blazing fast!!! almost too fast. no im not overclocking. here's my two crash reports so far.

american campaign, chateau, cleared the room just before the double doors are to get blown, walk into the vestibule where the captain is planting the charges hit s to back up and the game locked on the captains voice over plant the explosives, plant the explosives, plant the explosives, plant the explosives, plant the explosives, plant the explosives like a skipping record! hehe hard reboot, run CoD in safe mode, load level, he blows doors all is fine, restart, reload my options, reload level all is fine! :)

start of british campaign, glide in ok. set up bren, take out pill box, start moving up, BAM game locks, this time windows error box comes to front with invalid page fault in some nvopengl.dll with a bunch of registers and a stack dump, hit close crash to desktop! restart game into safe mode, let it load, but dont replay, esc to main menu, quit and shut down. it was late.

will try again tonight, and keep you posted!

the game is totally playable and i have been upgradeing and what not, sooooo...

That's my system. Don't worry I didnt type that out. Any ways, at first I was crashing and it really was annoying me considering the fact that my computer is brand new. I went to activision and went to their support site and asked them to help me out. Their fast service was very impressive and I have to give them a tap on the back because no later than an hour later I had solved my problem. Turns out I had not upgraded my drivers on the 9800 pro and I just kept crashing. Problem solved. The game is awesome

Check out callofduty.org's forums. It's mixed with people who have the same problems as me, and people that have no problems.

I don't understand it. Sejanus has Cat 3.9 and it works fine, I tried Cat 3.9 and CoD wouldn't even load up. My computer is also new and can't figure out why it's constantly crashing.

Have you tried setting everything to the most minimal settings?

I've played around with all settings in-game. I've tried 4 different drivers, I've tried disabling fast writes, VPU recovery, setting AGP to 8X, it refuses to run properly

Man, that sucks, if you ever get it working we should do a one on one match.
